Remember when we signed Dale Gordon?
A massive let down. Played nine games in about 3 or 4 seasons.
Bonzo made a few questionable signings - whether he had much to do with them is another matter altogether.

ID, don't know if it's relevant or not but the rumour going round was that someone else allegedly was roaring up Martin Peters wife and that was one of the reasons he moved to those cunts at N17

Way before my time, but some of the older Whoers would remember Johnny Sissons. He was a bit of a boy wonder. Youngest player to score in an FA Cup final at the time, and a regular goalscorer in Europe and league. He moved down to the Second Division with Sheffield Wednesday at the age of 24, having made more than 200 appearances for us. What happened there?

The new Ian Wright whose only similarity was briefly passing through Dulwich Hamlet and has now found his level at Dagenham & Redbridge.
A punt and textbook Sully special.

Martin Samuelsen, big expectations when we signed him from City and ok he's playing in Norway and in the Norwegian national team but just vanished without almost anything said.
Another being Sead Hakšabanović, yes he's at Celtic but again never seemed to get a chance or cut the mustard here in England.

Don't think anyone was that surprised with Ngakia. Johnson was always better. He is a League 1 player.

Some real gems there mentioned. But for me Ravel Morrison is the biggest waste of talent I think I have seen in my lifetime. We saw brief glimpses of his ability the goal at White Hart Lane being one. He could have gone on to be the next Gazza!
If Sir Alex couldn't get the best out of him consistently what hope did BFS and the rest of them have?

Couldn't stop scoring for Swansea, went to Man City and never recovered that form again. Now playing a bit part for Nijmegen after a spell in Qatar.

Jeremy Ngakia - we made so much noise to get him to stay but he went to Watford in a blaze of publicity. 3rd season in he has made one appearance this year and only 16 last season.
Probably got a whopping contract though.

Roger Milla was 38 at 1990 and 42 when he scored in USA 94, oldest player to score in a world cup.

Ilunga is a word in Bantu that one of the most difficult to translate words in any language. Its meaning is: A person who is ready to forgive any abuse for the first time, to tolerate it a second time, but never a third time

We're those rumours "well founded" though?
There was a time not that long ago when EVERY African player was meant to be 10 years older than their official age.

There were some well founded rumours that Ilunga actually was 37 years old...Our director of football around that time was filling his boots at the expense of some equally corrupt Icelanders.

Illunga on loan. great left back and pushing up and 27 years old.
We sign him that summer and he turns into a 37 year old div 2 left back. In fact he went to Doncaster after us
cholo 3:18 Wed Oct 26 Re: Players under 30 that fell off the map Herita Ilunga, kind of, had a good loan spell, signed permanently then went to shit, was shipped out to Doncaster Rovers.
